In the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Asia Pacific Research Association on Curriculum Studies Inc. (APRACSI) and its affiliate organization, Curriculum Studies Association of the Philippines, Inc. (CSAPI), conducted the 2020 Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID) on February 25-26, 2021. Originally intended to take place in Thailand, the prevailing world circumstances prompted the APRACSI board members to shift the conference to an online format. The conference centered around the theme “Curriculum Studies in Current Challenges: Designing for the Future,” aiming to provide a platform for sharing and documenting innovative experiences in addressing the pandemic's challenges and shaping the new normal for curriculum studies. The distinguished keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Murray Print, a globally recognized expert in curriculum from the University of Sydney. Additionally, prominent plenary speakers included Dr. Andrew Wall from Redlands University, Dr. Zongyi Deng from University College London, Dr. Takuya Baba from Hiroshima University Japan, and Dr. Ng So Boon from SEGi University, Malaysia. The two-day conference featured panel discussions and parallel paper presentations, fostering a comprehensive exploration of current issues in curriculum studies and instructional designing.
