Dr. Print keynotes APCCSID ‘17

Dr. Murray Print, professor at University of Sydney and authpor of the book Curriculum Development and Design, served as keynote speaker of the Asia Pacific Conference on Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (APCCSID) 2017.

In his speech, he related his professional experiences being involved in curriculum studies. He said that he began researching, writing and teaching about curriculum over 30 years ago and also designing and developing curricula in that time.

“Over time challenges in curriculum and design are similar, but more complex with twists and turns. My task here is big picture issues, but with examples,” he continued.

According to his biography, Murray is a recognised leader in civic and political education and curriculum development within Australia and internationally. He has extensive experience in international research projects and has acted as assessor of research grants in Australia and other countries such as Canada, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong.

Furthermore, Murray has conducted many international research projects in civics and citizenship, particularly in Europe and Asia and been a board member of international civic education organization.
